Saturday, february 3 - Hike to seguin
The hike to Sequin looks intimidating at first but it is absolutely worth it. This approximately 4 hour hike offers splendid vistas while providing you with a deeper understanding of the effects of massive deforestation in Haiti.
Once there we can take several long or short walks, visit sites, projects and the Fondation Seguin tree nursery. The views from up there can be spectacular and the fresh air and quiet peace of one of the last remaining patches of forest cover in Haiti will reward you for your decision.
You will spend the next day hiking down the mountain towards Marigot and the Southern Shore where we meet with those newcomers to the group who skipped the hiking expedition.
Overnight location: Seguin
